Dealer Selling Near Entrance To Hudson Valley Schools Busted By Drug Task Force: Police

An alleged drug dealer was busted at his home steps away from two schools selling fentanyl and crystal meth in the region.

Dutchess County resident William Frenza, age 59, of Pawling, was charged on Wednesday, Nov. 6, during a warrant search of his home by the Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office Drug Task Force.

According to Det. Sgt. Adam Harris of the Task Force agents had been working on an investigation into the sale of methamphetamine, also known as “crystal meth,” fentanyl, and other dangerous drugs in the town of Pawling for a significant amount of time. 

Harris said Frenza's Reservoir Road home is near the Pawling Middle School and Pawling High School entrances. 

Drug Task Force Agents purchased drugs from Frenza and obtained a search warrant for his residence.

On Wednesday, Drug Task Force agents and the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Services Unit executed a search warrant at the residence. They arrested Frenza, who had a significant quantity of fentanyl packaged for sale, Methamphetamine, and other narcotic drugs.

Following his arrest, Frenza was charged with:

  • Criminal possession of controlled substance
  • Criminal possession of a controlled substance with the intent to sell
  • Criminal possession of a narcotic 

Frenza was later arraigned in the Town of Pawling Court and remanded to Dutchess County Jail on $100,000 cash bail, a $200,000 secured bond, or a $400,000 partially secured bond.

"The Drug Task Force is starting to see an increase in methamphetamine being sold in Dutchess County," Harris said. "The public is urged to contact the Drug Task Force with any information regarding the sale or manufacturing of methamphetamine or any dangerous drug in Dutchess County."
